Excel Development Bank Ltd., a province-level development bank with a 16-year track record and a diverse branch network with its headquarters in Birtamode, Jhapa, is seeking applications from highly dynamic, pragmatic, committed, and results-oriented Nepalese citizens to lead the bank as its Chief Executive Officer CEO. The CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the Bank's overall strategic leadership and management.
The key responsibilities will include formulating and implementing effective strategic plans, providing strategic direction and leadership for the achievement of the Bank's vision, mission, strategies, and annual goals, representing the Bank externally, and building and nurturing sound relationships with all of the Bank's stakeholders, as outlined in the Bank and Financial Institutions Act and Unified Directives issued by Nepal Rastra Bank.
In the medium and long term, the new CEO is required to lead the Bank in such a way that it becomes the most recognized, robust, and successful banking organization in Province-1 in the eyes of all stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
The candidate must be able to:
- According to current legislation and NRB Regulations, be eligible to be appointed as the CEO of a Development Bank.
- Have a minimum of A master's degree in management, banking, finance, economics, or business administration is required.
- Have at least 10 years of experience as a manager or higher in a bank or financial institution; and have a proven track record of leading, managing, and inspiring teams of dynamic individuals.
- Be self-assured, active, and visionary;
- To be able to build your business in a constant and sound manner;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities are required.
Skills and knowledge
- Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have a thorough understanding of both domestic and international banking legislation and best practices;
- Be self-assured, quick-witted, thorough, pragmatic, intuitive, and visionary;
- To be able to build your business in a constant and sound manner;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities are required.
- Proactive leadership to build and maintain the Bank's long-term business growth, as well as the capacity to predict trends and seize new opportunities as they arise;
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and effectively communicate;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
- Extensive knowledge of the Bank's planning, implementation, and management processes.
