Credit Approvers (Officer O1/O2/ Manager M1/M2

 Job Purpose:

The role holders require approving of credit cases related to Retail Loans and Small and Medium Sectors Loans (Working Capital financing, Term loan, import loan, etc.) based on proposals submitted by credit underwriters or relationship managers taking into consideration the risk and return on each sector, delinquency trends, sectoral risks, Bank’s credit policy and regulatory regime. The Credit Approvers are expected to exercise the given authorities with quality assurance of credits underwritten within a standard Turnaround Time, facilitating both gatekeeping and sales onboarding based upon Bank’s overall goals of aggressive credit growth.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Bank with minimum 3 years’ experience in credit control/risk, credit approval, credit analysis, relationship management, Branch Manager roles, having demonstrated track record of involvement in credit approval/review process or exercising credit authorities in Commercial Bank with minimum of one-year service period at one level below or equivalent position.

2. Excellent knowledge on NRB’s directives, circular and guidelines

3. Sound knowledge on Risk Management and prudential Credit Management in Banks

4. Strong Analytic skills

5. Ability to work under pressure and deliver the results

Eligibility Criteria for Manager M2:

1. At least 3 years of experience in Officer or above level in banking or related field in case of Master’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience in Officer or above level banking or related field in case of Bachelor’s Degree with minimum one-year service period in Manager M1 or equivalent level.

2. Master’s Degree in Management/Statistics/Accounting/Computer Science/Information Technology/ Economics/Engineering/Finance or subject related to Banking with at least Second Division or 2.5 CGPA out of 4 CGPA or professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)/Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or any equivalent professional degree from recognized University/Institution.

Eligibility Criteria for Manager M1:

1. At least 3 years of experience in Officer or above level in banking or related field in case of Master’s Degree or at least 4 years of experience in Officer or above level banking or related field in case of Bachelor’s Degree.

2. Master’s Degree in Management/Statistics/Accounting/Computer Science/Information Technology/ Economics/Engineering/Finance or subject related to Banking with at least Second Division or 2.5 CGPA out of 4 CGPA or professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)/Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or any equivalent professional degree from recognized University/Institution.

Eligibility Criteria for Officer (Officer O1/ Officer O2):

1. At least 2 years of experience in Supervisor/Officer or above level in banking or related field.

2. Master’s degree in Management/Statistics/Accounting/Computer Science/Information Technology/ Economics/Engineering/Finance or subject related to Banking with at least First Division or 3.25 CGPA out of 4 CGPA or professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)/Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or any equivalent professional degree from a recognized university/institution.

3. Age not exceeding 32 years as on 17 September 2021.

All candidates must be proficient in written/spoken Nepali and English language and be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications. Candidates are expected to have smart and pleasant personality, be articulate with superior interpersonal skills and desire to excel. The candidates must have positive attitude and be a team player but be able to work independently and take initiatives.

All candidates must submit their tentative business volume that will be generated in this fiscal year, wherever applicable, together with their past business growth volume.
