VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Rural Enterprise and Economic Development Project (REED), an initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development with the major financial assistance of the World Bank is a five years project implemented from FY 2077/078. The project aims to
1) Strengthen Market Linkages through Productive Partnerships;
(2) Support the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in the Federal Structure;
(3) Restore and Improve COVID-19-Disrupted Food Supply Chain and Local Economy in Nepal. The project is being implemented in 5 economic corridors of 6 provinces of Nepal (1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim). The project here invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from potential and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position with stated minimum qualification and experience.
1. Job Position: Procurement Management Expert
(A) Required No.: 1
(B) Academic Qualification and Experience: Master's in Engineering /Arts/ Business/Agriculture/Management/Economics or relevant fields with at least 8 years in Government/ Public Enterprise/INGO/ Multilateral agencies/ UN agencies and have relevant experience in procurement. Preferably conversant with World Bank procurement policies and procedures, and proficient in report writing skills, negotiation, presentation, and use of a computer.
2. Job Position: Environment Safeguard Expert
(A) Required No.: 1
(B) Academic Qualification and Experience: Master's Degree in the field of Environmental Science, Environmental Management. Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, Ecology or equivalent. Must have at least 8 years of professional experience in preparation, management, and implementation of environmental safeguards instruments. Experience of working in the area of environmental safeguards in agricultural/natural resource management will be an advantage. Good experience and knowledge of undertaking environmental assessments including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) as well as implementing Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP). environmental actions/ mitigation measures, supervision, and monitoring.
3. Job Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Expert
(A) Required No.: 1
(B) Academic Qualification and Experience: Master's degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Management, Information management, or another related academic background with at least 8 years of experience with relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of the Government/Development projects. Familiarity with the M & E system of the Government of Nepal and the bilateral/multilateral donor partners.
