FOOD-FIRST INFORMATION & ACTION NETWORK (FIAN) NEPAL
FIAN Nepal is a human rights organization working for the promotion and protection of the human right to food in Nepal. We are seeking highly motivated & skilled persons for the following positions to join FIAN Nepal for the implementation of the project "Strengthening the right to food & food sovereignty in Nepal" for the period from July 2021 to June 2024
1. Planning, Monitoring & Documentation Officer (PM&D-1): Kathmandu Based with frequent field visits in working districts
This is a senior level position. This position will be responsible for planning, monitoring, reporting and documentation of project “Strengthening Right to Food and Food Sovereignty in Nepal”. In addition, s/he would be also responsible to monitor the status of the program implementation in line with the results chain framework including preparing periodic plans and progress reports.
Academic Qualifications and Work Experience:
Masters’ degree in Social Science, Law, Development Studies, Management or related discipline with at least three (3) years of professional work experiences in the field of Planning Monitoring and Documentation.
2. Field Officer (FO-1) – Province Based
The position is based on the province 2 and overall responsible in organizing & managing the right to food related activities in palika, district & province. The FO will also be responsible to document right to food violation cases, empowering right to food affected groups to claim their demands/issues through different advocacy actions.
Required Qualifications/ Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline having at least three years working experiences in the development sectors focusing on human rights, capacity building, advocacy skill as well as coordination, collaboration and networking with various stakeholders is required. Report writing skill both in Nepali and English is essential.
3. Field Officer (FO-1) : District Based
The position is based on the Bajura District of Sudurpaschim province and overall responsible in organizing & managing the right to food related activities in the palika & district. The FO will also be responsible to document right to food violation cases, empowering right to food affected groups to claim their demands/issues through different advocacy actions.
Required Qualifications/ Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline having at least three years working experiences in the development sectors focusing on human rights, capacity building, advocacy skill as well as coordination, collaboration and networking with various stakeholders is required. Report writing skill both in Nepali is must and in English is desirable.
4. Receptionist: Kathmandu Based – Female
The position is Kathmandu based and overall responsible for basic communication, provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email, receive, sort & distribute daily mail/deliveries, keep updated records of office expenses and costs
Required Qualifications/ Experiences
The candidate should have Intermediate Level in any discipline with minimum 3 years working experience or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 2 years working experience in similar field. The candidate should have pleasant personality with politeness and well behavior, knowledge of English in Reading/Writing/Speaking, excellent knowledge of computer in terms of using Microsoft Office packages with typing fluent experience in English and Nepali. Secretarial course will be an added advantage.
