Facets of Nepalese Economy:-
- Economic Growth was 7.4 percent in FY 2016/17.
- The contribution of the agriculture and non-agriculture sector to GDP was 28.8 percent and 71.2 percent, respectively int the FY 2016/17
- The total consumption to GDP ratio was 88.1 percent in the FY 2016/17,
- The Investment to GDP ratio was 45.7 percent in 2016/17,
- The ratio of Gross Domestic Saving to GDP was 11.9 percent in GDP,
- Per Capita to GDP at current prices was Rs. 92031 ( USD 866) in 2016/17,
- Per Capita to GDP at constant prices, which was 28892 in FY 2016/17,
- The primary, secondary and tertiary sectors growth was 5.2 percent, 12.4 percent, and 7.4 percent in FY 2016/17.
- The contribution of the Secondary Sector (Manufacturing, Construction, Electricity, Gas, and Water) sector to GDP, which stood at 5.5 percent in previous FY 2016/17.
- Total GDP = 2642.6 billion in FY 2016/17
- Revenue to GDP ratio was 23.1 percent in FY 2016/17,
- The budget deficit to GDP ratio, which was 7.2 percent in FY 2016/17,
- The total irregularities ( BERUJU) of Rs. 290.53 billion from government bodies, public enterprises and other corporate entities, local bodies/levels, and district development/ coordination committee is yet to be settled up to FY 2016/17.
- Of a total of 37 Public Enterprises (PEs), 26 enterprises are running in profit and the rest are in a loss in FY 2016/17.
- Up to mid-March 2018, a total number of 153 banks and financial institutions are in operation including 28 commercial banks, 36 development banks, 25 finance companies, and 64 microfinance development banks.
- The share of merchandise export to total trade was only 6.9 percent in the FY 2016/17.
- The remittance to Total GDP ratio was 26.3 percent in FY 2016/17.

- The number of tourist arrival except that of Indian tourists arrived via land, 9,40,218 tourists ( except Indian tourists who arrive through roads) have visited Nepal in 2017.
- In the year 2017, the total number of tourists arriving by airlines is 81 percent, and the number of tourists arriving by the roadways is 19 percent.
- In the year 2017, a tourist has an average length of stay is 12.6 days whereas per tourist's expenditure is $54 per day.
- By the first eight months of FY 2017/18, electricity production has been increased by 7.4 percent and reached 1044.6 MW.
- By the first eight months of the current fiscal year, except Dolpa and Humla, all the district headquarters are connected to the road network. Out of 77 districts, 71 districts are connected with blacktopped roads.
- The contribution of the education sector to GDP was 7.2 percent in the previous FY 2016/17.
- The consumer price index was 4.5 in FY 2016/17.
- Export was 73 billion Rs. In FY 2016/17. The export to GDP ratio was 2.8.
- Import was 990.1 billion in FY 2016/17. The import to GDP ratio was 37.5.
- Trade Deficit was -917.1 billion rs in FY 2016/17. The trade deficit to GDP ratio was -34.7.
- Countries with the highest number of tourists arrival in 2017 was India 17.1 %, China 11.1 %, USA 8.4%, UK 5.4%, Srilanka 4.8%, and another country 53.2%.
- Tourist Arrival for vacation or Entertainment was70%, Religious Tour15%, Mountaineering8%, others 7%.
- Total Government Expenditure to GDP ratio was 31.7 in FY 2016/17.
- The current Expenditure to GDP ratio was 19.6 in FY 2016/17.
- The revenue to GDP ratio was 23.1 % in FY 2016/17.
